A Very Weird Kid
Pol is a “very weird” kid. This is what his classmate, Gustavo, thinks about him. He always tries to provoke him, but Pol always stays calm. “My dad is a magician,” he says. One day, in one of his ill-intentioned comments towards Pol, Gustavo succeeds in hurting his feelings, and Pol runs away crying. Then, Gustavo and his friends follow Pol to his house to discover what kind of magician his father is…
Parents can teach you to respect others, to be assertive, or to like yourself. That is the magic of Pol’s dad, understanding his son and giving him the positive reinforcement he needs. The illustrations provide excellent sensitivity and an in-depth look at the story.
